The U.S. debate over whether to grant Russia Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) upon its potential inclusion into the World Trade Organization (WTO). With longstanding restrictions preventing the U.S. from fully tapping into the Russian market, Russia’s entry into the WTO may finally mark the time for the U.S. to permanently abandon the Jackson-Vanik Amendment that enforces those trade limitations.

In an article featured on Examiner.com, Quantum CEO Ari Zoldan (@AriZoldan) weighs in on the U.S.’s indecision regarding Russia. If granted PNTR, reports estimate that exports to Russia could nearly double over the next five years, a number significant to Quantum as a leading player in the larger technology market.

Referencing the “untapped foreign market ripe for American exports,” Zoldan contends that, despite the risks which have in-house politicians fretting, investing in improved Russian trade relations is a sure bet.

This past Tuesday, Quantum CEO Ari Zoldan (@AriZoldan) discussed unemployment–and the causes behind it–with CNNMoney.com in an article titled “I Have Jobs, But No One Wants Them.”

The culprit behind millions of unemployed Americans, says Zoldan? Security blanket systems like financial aid and public assistance that breed a sense of complacency, rather than encouraging initiative.

According to Zoldan, the opportunities are there–but people don’t believe in themselves enough to take advantage.

“I’m looking for leaders, and I can’t find them,” says Zoldan.

Attributing the “air of discouragement” that he believes still dominates the job market to the lingering aftermath of the dot-com bubble burst in early 2000, Zoldan insists that, with a little confidence and 110% effort, millions of people could secure meaningful and fulfilling employment that would revolutionize their lives.

Yahoo! News contributor Mike Colapietro interviewed Quantum CEO Ari Zoldan (@AriZoldan) for a feature article titled “Is Mobli Good Mobile?” a review of the revolutionary Mobli application for iOS, Droid, and Blackberry that allows users to upload photos and videos in real time.

Colapietro reviews the history of Mobli, an Israeli-based company whose CEO and founder Moshiko Hogeg developed the idea after unsatisfactory seating at a concert prompted him to consider the possibility of millions of people uploading videos as they happen. The company just celebrated the release of its 2.0 version at the South by Southwest Conference in Austin, TX.

The article discusses the aspects to Mobli that could make it stand out from other social media tools, pointing to unique features such as the video uploading as well as channels that allow users to post material to a specific category as key standout features.

In the article, Zoldan points out that the genius of Mobli lies in its potential to create an unheard-of social media platform by enabling a sort of virtual community contrasting with the individual-based Facebook and Twitter.

Another main component of Mobli, according to Zoldan, is the opportunity it gives users to view a single event from myriad perspectives. For instance, if millions of users are witnessing a newsworthy event and uploading it in real time to Mobli, the virtual community will immediately be privy to millions of different interpretations of the event.

“People might start using Mobli the way they use blogs: to convey or validate their own opinions, to get their views out there and make themselves heard,” Zoldan says. “And if they can take that tool with them, everywhere they go, to post at a moment’s notice… gold.”
